Rules and privacy
Beta
- StarLog Flights is free during the beta. Paid plans may be introduced later, and beta testers will be told before anything changes.
- Joining is by invitation during the beta. Anyone can browse flights and leaderboards without an account.
Safety
- Every flight must follow the NAR Model Rocket Safety Code, the NAR High Power Rocket Safety Code, or the Tripoli safety code.
- H motors and up need high-power certification: level 1 for H and I, level 2 for J to L, level 3 for M to O. Fliers declare their level when they upload.
- Fly at sites where you have permission, within any FAA waiver or local rules for the site.
Honest flights
- Upload flight logs exactly as StarLog saved them. Each log carries a checksum, and logs that have been changed are refused.
- From Moon Ship firmware V11, each flight is signed by the Moon Ship that flew it, and the site marks it Verified.
- Flights that look wrong may be removed. These are StarLog season awards, not official NAR or Tripoli records.
Young fliers
- Accounts are held by adults. Parents and guardians can create an account for a young flier and mark it Youth flier, so their flights join the youth division.
Privacy
- Your flier name, country, state or province, flights and launch sites are public.
- Your email address is never shown. Where you live is never asked for; flights show only the launch site.
- You can remove any of your flights at any time from its page.
